RNDSQR Introduces Rental at CY33

 

Calgary spoke, and we listened.

Our much-anticipated Courtyard 33 project in Marda Loop has officially become RNDSQR LIFE's first rental building. We have seen an undeniable trend towards rental apartments in recent years, and our transition to rental with Courtyard 33 is the first step in responding to and fulfilling a market need.

We will still offer a limited run of Townhomes, along with what we currently have for sale. We will always love our fourplexes, and we are equally excited to launch RNDSQR LIFE through CY33. RNDSQR LIFE is a new approach to living in Calgary, with subscription-based rentals with all local amenities included in the cost of the rent.

We want everyone to have the opportunity to live in beautiful spaces, with great local amenities. By offering unique, modern units as rentals, RNDSQR can connect with more of our Calgarian community, which is in our DNA. We are thrilled to provide more options for our inner-city.

CY33 will still be home to retail shops on the first and second floor while acting as a gateway for the community through the interior Courtyard. You can expect the same thoughtful design and community approach with the move to rental.

Will the floorplans be changing?
The floor plans will remain the same for the 56 residential units with a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and flexible two bedrooms.

How much will rent cost?
We are currently exploring pricing for CY33 and will notify the public as soon as possible.

Will the CY33 Art Campaign continue?
Yes, the CY33 Art Campaign is a crucial aspect of our building and the design. We love the submissions and are excited to see the final two artists brings their visions to life.

Will the commercial spaces remain the same?
Yes, the commercial spaces will remain the same, along with all of the fantastic tenants moving in.

When will the units be ready for rent?
We anticipate that the units will be ready for rent in early 2021, but due to the nature of constructing a building of this scale and quality, we may have a flexible timeline.

How will the design palettes change? Do I get a choice?
As it currently stands, we are only offering one design palette for every unit.

Will the quality of the units change?
The quality of the units will remain the same. We stand by our commitment to functional design and quality product, whether rental or for ownership.

What will the rental terms be?
CY33 will have a mix of short-term and long-term rental units to suit many needs.

How will this affect the previous buyers?
We have collaborated with our previous buyers to find the best possible solutions for each individual. What this means is that their deposits have been returned and they will no longer own a unit in CY33.

What does this mean for the future of RNDSQR?
As markets shift, we see public preference moving from homeownership to rentals. The RNDSQR LIFE residential rental model offers solutions to financial and commitment barriers while integrating access to amenities within the surrounding urban community. With a focus on creative and consciously designed suites, RNDSQR LIFE tenants have modern living options that will include short term, long term, furnished, and unfurnished units. We created RNDSQR LIFE in response to the shift towards more flexible rental living – the missing middle that many markets need.

Will renters still receive possession packages/partner benefits?
Access to goods and services from partnered local businesses are included in a tenant’s rent through a highly tailored subscription-based platform. Ultimately, our new neighbourhood-focused lifestyle concept benefits everyone and is built on community experiences.

What amenities/perks will you include in our rent?
We are currently exploring options and will notify the public as soon as possible.

What is subscription-based living?
Access to goods and services from partnered local businesses are included in a tenant’s rent through a highly tailored subscription-based platform. Ultimately, our new neighbourhood-focused lifestyle concept benefits everyone and is built on community experiences.

Is this similar to the SC28 building?
Yes, SC28 and CY33 are both rental buildings that are run under our RNDSQR LIFE model and system.

What is included in the cost of rent?
We are currently exploring options and will notify the public as soon as possible.

Will be furnished or unfurnished?
Both furnished and unfurnished options will be available.

Can I have pets?
We love furry family members! We are currently exploring options for pets and will notify the public as soon as possible.

Is parking included in the rent?
We are currently exploring options and will notify the public as soon as possible.

Will this change push back the building completion date?
We anticipate that the units will be ready for rent in early 2021, but due to the nature of constructing a building of this scale and quality, we may have a flexible timeline.

Will there be security/concierge for the building?
Yes, there will be onsite staff members ensuring safety and accessibility for tenants and community members alike.

Will the Courtyard still be public-accessible?
Yes, the community will still have the same access to the Courtyard as always planned.
